IBMM Prize
| IBMM Prize |
The IBMM International Committee has established an IBMM prize, which will be awarded for the first time at IBMM2008 to an outstanding IBMM
early-career researcher, in honor of Ugo Campisano and Toni Drigo. Nominations including CV, list or publications, and optional recommendations
should be addressed to the conference chairmens Prof. Möller or Prof. Rauschenbach. Self-nominations are encouraged.
Please note the deadline of June-20, 2008.

The winner of the IBMM Prize will receive a monetary amount. He will also be asked to deliver one of the Invited Lectures during the conference, which includes the waiver of the conference fee.

| Prize Winner |
After an evaluation by the IBMM International Committee of 29 nominations, the winner of the IBMM 2008 Prize has been selected on July-8.
The 2008 IBMM prize will be awarded to
Lin Shao (Texas A&M University)
for his outstanding, innovative and original contributions to the field
of ion beam modification and characterization of materials, with particular reference to ultrashallow junction formation, defect engineering,
ultrathin layer transfer and improvements in ion beam characterization techniques.
